Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain – whether it’s chronic, achy shoulder pain from a sedentary desk job or pain from a sudden injury – responds exceptionally well to chiropractic care.
The shoulder has a greater range of motion than any other joint in your body – think about all the ways your arm can move! The payoff for this incredible range of motion is that the shoulder joint is inherently unstable and this makes it very sensitive to problems in your upper back, neck, rib cage and core. If your upper back is especially stiff, your shoulder will be subjected to extra wear and tear and stress – making it more susceptible to chronic pain or a sudden acute injury. That’s why I teach my patients upper back mobility exercises when they have shoulder pain.
Shoulder pain is usually caused by shoulder instability. Stiffness in the back or neck leads to compensation in the shoulder. Therefore, shoulder care requires more than simply working on the painful areas of the shoulder and stretching them with colored band exercises.
At Tiferet Chiropractic, I address problems in the surrounding areas – stiffness of the upper back, mobility of the shoulder blade, and any issues affecting the nearby rib cage. I also teach you how to properly stabilize and strengthen your shoulder – so that you can enjoy all of the activities you love without risking a re-injury.
